We first met Marian in 1995 when our eldest son, James went to Brunswick. Any anxiety we might have had with him starting school melted from day one and he had a wonderful time. His brother and sister followed a few years later. They have all benefitted hugely from their time at Brunswick and we still feel privileged that their introduction to education was such a fantastic creative and social experience. Marian led a terrific nursery and was supported by a great team. Every day was exciting and there was always something new. The community of engaged children and parents was so inclusive. Back in 1995 Marian suggested I might like to be a parent governor and I am still there (not as a parent)! Thanks to Marian my heart stayed with early years and despite many, many changes in education it is still its own little world with the Funnell Room at the heart of the nursery where every day children enjoy playing together and getting lost in their imaginary worlds.
